Product Detail

Overview

The Blade mCX2 RTF Radio Control Helicopter is an ultra micro-sized rc helicopter, offering first-time pilots the ability to learn how to fly a radio control helicopter with ease and experienced heli pilots the ability to fly anytime, anywhere indoors. This helicopter is Ready to Fly in Mode 2.

Like the original Blade mCX, the Blade mCX2 RTF is easy enough for anyone to fly and small enough to fly just about anywhere. The Blade mCX2 RTF has the same coaxial, counter-rotating rotor head design as the current mCX, but it adds an extra shot of excitement with user-selectable swash sensitivity and flashing LED lights that are built right into the body. The pilot can change the control settings to enable this heli to perform at higher speeds than the beginner settings.

This helicopter also boasts heading-lock like performance for maximum control. It also boasts more powerful motors and a higher capacity 120mAh battery pack. The Blade mCX2 RTF is the ultimate beginner friendly machine with unsurpassed stability, incredible control, and extreme durability.

With a factory-installed 5-in-1 control unit with Spektrum 2.4GHz DSM2 compatible receiver, main motor ESCs, mixer, gyro, and fully-proportional servos come pre-installed. Freedom from frequency restrictions and great control are ensured with the MLP4DSM 4-channel 2.4Ghz Spektrum technology equipped transmitter.  The Blade mCX2’s ultra-micro size and weight make it possible to fly this heli anywhere indoors.

It all adds up to more fun than you ever thought possible with a coaxial ultra micro heli, whether you’re a newbie or a pro.

This was my first helicopter and I love it! Very easy to fly, fast and stable at the same time! Best helicopter in my eyes!!

Amazing fun! Sturdy little bird that’s forgiving to the novice pilot, but great indoor fun even for the professional R/C pilot. Even flies outdoors on VERY calm days

Absolutly fantastic, easy to fly, after little triming perfectly stable. It was a gift for our 10 years old daughter and she flies every day, enjoing it fully. I recomend to buy spare batteries to have more fun without waiting due to charging :).

Bought this for my son as a birthday present as a step up from the £20 ones and the difference is incredible! I would definitely recommend this heli to nay beginner. Was delivered next day too! Looking at getting a 120 SR for Christmas now!

Retired fireman, bought myself this for Xmas. Within a couple of days, I’m flying it round the front room perfectly! Tip, the manual is very good, so read it properly before trying a fly. Brilliant. Have bought 2 extra batteries, to save waiting time for charging, as you only 5-6 mins fly time, but not disappointed with this. Have had one or two small accidents, ie clipped ceiling lights, fireplace! But it’s unbelievably tough, and so far, has suffered no damage. My first ever RC helicopter, glad I bought a proper one, and not some 20 quid toy.

I’ve flown other small helis, but this is my first coaxial. First thing to notice is the stability. It gets in the air quickly and smoothly and barely required any trim at all to allow a steady hover. Being coaxial and very stable it’s great for practicing nose-in flight where you can concentrate on just worrying about the reversed controls without added pressure of keeping a single rotor heli steady. Flying it around ornaments, under the legs of the ironing board then landing it on a Pringles tube took a little work but was great fun.
Build quality is very good and the materials are much more flexible than other helis I’ve flown. Skids & rotor blades are quite soft and bendy so they tolerate drops and bumps with no damage. Mine has dropped onto the laminate floor a few times without injury.
I’ve tried it outside, and on a calm day it waves about a bit but not enough to make it impossible. If anything, it adds a little challenge for something different.

Having tried many helis in the past from large IC powered to smallish electrics I never managed to master much more than a few hops before disaster would strike and they would spend more time being repaired than flying,
The grandkids had a couple of the three channel coaxials that I found very easy if a little too easy and thus thought I’d try again with mirco 4 channel, RC-choppers delivered the goods exactly on time and within a charge of the battery a quick trim and I was in the air with a stable hover, I’m VERY impressed.
I was concerned that the with it being well over twice the price of the little 3 channels it wasnt going to be anything special, how wrong can you be, its well worth the money.
I’m already learning nose in flying and other such cool stuff, the fact the supplied remote it two rate is great bonus for a learner, although you do need to engage this on every flight.
Battery life is about 7mins currently which is about as much as I can handle for now but I can see more batteries are next on my order list.
Can only really echo the words of Wez above and say how great this chopper is, and hopefully it will teach me enough so I’ll be able to move to soemthing bigger in the future.
Sorry folks but I had the last one from here for now but I’m sure they will get some more in soon LOL
