Overview
This Blade mCPX 2 helicopter will give transitioning pilots a more agile and capable collective pitch heli that will give them the confidence to master indoor aerobatics without the hesitance which comes with a larger outdoor only platform. Not to mention the cost makes it much more economical when learning.
It comes out of the box 100% factory built and equipped with a factory-installed Flybarless 3-in-1 Control Unit with Spektrum 2.4GHz DSM2 receiver, ESCs, and gyros. Also included: two 1S 200mAh 30C batteries, single port charger with AC adapter and a 1S High Current Ultra-Micro Battery Adapter Lead.
The included Mode 2, 6-channel DX6i uses the same full range DSM2 / DSMX™ technology found in the Spektrum DX7 and includes an impressive list of programming features for both airplanes and helicopters that are simple to access and use. The DX6i is compatible with all existing Spektrum aircraft receivers. Whatever kind of flying you do, the DX6i can be adapted to most any model in your existing collection that requires six channels or less.
Using an integrated AS3X™ Digital Flybarless System, the heli gets up in the air without a mechanical flybar. The core of AS3X technology is a sophisticated, 3-axis digital sensor that stabilizes the rotor head and functions as a heading hold gyro. This, along with its powerful motors and high-precision cyclic servos, gives the mCP X 2 a sense of stability and responsiveness no other collective-pitch heli its size can match.
The mCP X 2's software has been designed to be used with the DX4e, DX5e, DX6i, DX7, DX7s and DX8 transmitters, while allowing commonly used collective pitch functionality such as throttle hold or stunt mode.

This is an excellent heli, perfect for those wanting to upgrade from a fixed pitch. Despite its size, it´s not a toy! It´s not easy to master, but when you do, you´re ready to grow onto larger aircraft with confidence. Spares are cheap if you crash (and you will!), but to be honest, I crashed mine a few times already and it´s still in one piece - it´s a tough little heli. Fly over grass to minimize damage on impact and you´ll have a perfect CP heli to learn on, before you move up to, say, a 450. Not tried 3D yet, but search YouTube for what this little bird can do.
After 30 battery packs, I´m really happy with it!
The bundled Spektrum DX6i is a solid, responsive, computerised Tx and features a 10 model memory for all your BNF needs. This means you can have 10 different model aircraft (helis or planes) but you´ll only ever need this Tx to control them. Just look for BNF aircraft right here on RC Choppers. I won´t be buying another transmitter for a very long time!
Please note that the image does not show this Tx as being the latest DSMX series (little gray X on the right side of the LCD), but it is!
Delivery (to Portugal) was quick (even quicker if you´re in the UK) and well packaged. I can´t fault RC Choppers at all, they have been extremely professional and quick to respond to all my queries.

Arrived today and was very excited after opening the box. After reading lots on various forums, it seemed that this was the best option (MCPX and DX6i). Read the DX6i instructions and followed the set up that I found on youtube to bring it closer to the feel of a fixed pitch heli, which took about 20 mins. Then bound it to the MCPX and all was ready.
Was very supprised at how different it was to the coaxial heli’s that i’ve been flying for the past few months, but within a few minutes I had it hovering. To answer many people that want to know, as i’ve seen out on the net, yes it can be your next step from coaxials, as long as you’ve mastered orientations and nose in etc. It can however catch you out very quickly if not concentrating. Had a couple of heavy landings and no breakages so far, due to the fact that it’s so light. I think if it’d have been a 450 size heli, i’d have been on the phone for spare parts already! Very impressed.
Had 3 batteries through it so far today and it really is very stable for a tiny cp heli, but you need good reactions to keep up with it. I’d been debating the MSRX, but now glad that I didn’t, ’cause I don’t think it’ll take me long to get to grips with it at these settings.
Delivery was very fast, communication good and i’m a very happy chappy!!
